Our Favorite Products from September & October
Hi everyone! We’re back again with our monthly favorites, in the midst of “spooky season.” Actually, I think this is going live on Halloween, so I hope you all enjoy your day! You may have noticed that we didn’t publish our favorites for September (you know how life gets ??). So in this roundup we’re going to be including products from both September and October.

This cleansing balm is so good that we both chose it as a favorite for this roundup! Keep reading to hear Mai’s thoughts on it. As for my own, I’ve found myself to be very particular when it comes to the consistencies of my cleansing balms. There are a few that I don’t love so much solely because it doesn’t melt the way I want it to. This one appears solid at first and then with a little added warmth between your palms it softens up to a nice, milky consistency. I love how it doesn’t leave behind a residue and rinses off super clean so that you’re immediately ready for your second cleanse. You don’t even have to use a wash cloth to remove it, just water! The fact that this is also affordable and accessible (thanks, Target!) makes it even more appealing.

I am currently interning at Glow Recipe, where they gave me this for free, but the decision to talk about this mist today was 100% my own. Guys, this mist is unlike any other I’ve tried. I thought that the Avène Thermal Spring Water was the finest mist out there, but I was wrong! This sprays out even finer, so fine that it doesn’t even leave droplets on your face. It’s truly the perfect mist for refreshing throughout the day because your face won’t be drenched, no fanning your face required. I also love to use it after cleansing in the morning and at night to keep my skin a bit damp in preparation for my serums. I don’t think I can ever use another mist after this one!

I’ve been eyeing this sunscreen for so long because I’ve heard it’s good for oily and acne prone skin. I finally got to try it for the first time when my esthetician applied it on me after one of my treatments at Glowbar. She gave me some little sample sachets to take home and after using them up I immediately went back and purchased the full size. Prior to using this one, I’d been having some major struggles with my current selection of sunscreens constantly pilling. I tried to figure out if it was one of the other products I’d been using, but I wasn’t able to figure it out. I ended up just switching suncreens (again) and lucky for me, this one worked out! This sunscreen doesn’t leave my skin looking greasy or feeling sticky, and throughout the day it only feels better. I end up with a glow by mid-day, something I’ve never gotten before with other sunscreens. It keeps my skin from appearing too oily even by the time I end my day. Now I really feel like I can’t leave the house without applying sunscreen because then I won’t get those added effects! It makes wearing sunscreen more enjoyable and it’s definitely encouraging.

I talk about Christophe Robin’s haircare products a lot, so much that they’re probably my favorite haircare brand out there. I recently got to try out this hair mask which claims to hydrate, plump and illuminate your hair. First, something I love about this mask is that it acts like a conditioner and you don’t really have to leave it in for too long. I use it in the shower after shampooing, leaving it in while I soap my body/exfoliate/shave, etc. Once you rinse it out it gives your hair added softness. With colder weather comes drier hair, more tangles and split ends. I know this mask will be my best friend this time of year!

Alright, this isn’t a shock to anyone. Yes, I’ve used this product for years now, and yes, it’s as great as everyone says it is. But for awhile, I had stopped using it after falling in love with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel. I recently reached for Boy Brow randomly and I was like, “Wow. How did I forget how much I love this????”, and now I’m hooked again. It gives my brows the perfect amount of fullness and keeps them in place all day. I also love to keep this in my bag since it’s so compact and easy to take on-the-go.

I mentioned this on our feed a few days ago, so I’ll keep this short and sweet. This is one of the first cleansing balms I’ve ever tried, and I definitely see why they’re so raved about. This one by Versed is really great—good for all skin types, vegan/cruelty-free, certified clean, paraben-free, etc, etc. I highly recommend Versed as a brand if you haven’t already given them a try. They’re one of my favorite brands right now, and this balm is officially a go-to of mine. I use this as a first cleanse, and it does a great job of removing all makeup/impurities that I may have going on. Also, it smells fantastic. SUPER relaxing. I highly recommend!
$54.00 USD / 1 oz + $52.00 USD / 1 fl oz
Another brand/product(s) I mentioned recently on the feed! This pair is newer to me, and I’ve only been testing it for the past couple of weeks. But, I love how they feel on my skin. Like I mentioned on IG, this leaves my skin glowy, dewy, and hydrated—without feeling greasy. I give this a 10/10. I reach for this duo when I don’t want to go all-out with my makeup, and it does the trick of covering anything I’m trying to hide without feeling heavy or looking TOO full-coverage.
And that’s all for all of our favorites from the past few months! I hope you all enjoyed this, and as usual, thank you for everything!
